Non-Rafters within a group are welcome to enjoy our beautiful beachfront complete with children’s playground. Meals, camping and accommodations are available by advance reservations.

Family Gentle Raft Trip

This is not a float trip, everyone gets a paddle and everyone gets to participate in this easy run down the river. Let our entertaining river guides navigate you and your family through smaller rapids, calm whirlpools and gently splashing waves. A riverside picnic lunch is just one of the stops along the way. This tributary channel of the Ottawa River is rich in history with a spectacular 20 foot waterfall and offers the most beautiful scenery of the Rocher Fendu section of this legendary river. From ages 6 to 86, this trip will delight the young and the young at heart with gentle whitewater, sandy stops, incredible wildlife and plenty of time to enjoy it all.

Package includes one full river trip (Sat. or Sun.) two nights of camping, 2 lunches, 2 breakfasts, 1 dinner, view a video replay of rafting adventure, use of all resort facilities. Wetsuits at no charge for children 15 and under. Children must be a minimum of 6 years of age and weigh 50 lbs.

Heritage River Trip on the Ottawa River

The Ottawa River is now designated as a Canadian Heritage River. School and youth groups will benefit from this entertaining outdoor learning experience of history, geography and wildlife.

Learn about portage routes for Algonquin Indians, the exploration of Samuel de Champlain, the massive logging industry that made history on this river centuries ago. Let RiverRun Rafting take you back in time with this interpretive and gentle paddle down this scenic section of the Ottawa River, known as the Middle Channel or Rocher Fendue. Perfect for outdoor and wildlife enthusiasts, history buffs and photographers, this is a thoroughly entertaining day on the river for couples, families and group trips of all ages.

- Children must be 16 years of age or older and weigh at least 90 lbs. to participate in any full river rafting trips in a 6-passenger raft on the Main Channel.

- Children must be 11 years of age or older and weigh at least 90 lbs. to participate in any full river rafting trips in a 12-passenger raft on the Main Channel.

- Children must be 6 years of age or older and weigh at least 50 lbs. to participate in our family and heritage rafting trip.

Rafting Essentials:

• Footwear that does not easily slip off, such as aqua shoes, strap-on sport sandals or running shoes, with rubber soles
• Swimwear or nylon shorts, something that dries quickly and does not hold water (cotton is not recommended)
• If you must wear eye or sun glasses use strap retainers (there is no guarantee your glasses will stay on)
• Wetsuits can be rented before safety briefing; $15 for two pieces, $10 for half suit
• Wetsuits are at no extra charge for children 6 - 15 (subject to availability) on the family trip
• Please note: No flip-flops or crocs will be allowed for rafting

Essentials:

• Young children get cold easily - Bring warm sweater or fleece (no cotton)
• Sunscreen, hat, insect repellant (especially in spring), flashlight
• Towel, personal items, change of clothing and footwear
• Cold weather: thermal socks, wind resistant jacket and pants, fleece wear or sweatshirts
• Accommodations: all accommodations have mattresses, however, some accommodations require guests to bring bedding and pillows, please ask for details at time of booking
• Accommodations are in addition to trip and package prices
• Camping: tent, ground sheet, sleeping bag, pillow, camping mattress

• Our washroom and shower facilities are located close to campgrounds
• Personal campfires are not permitted; guests may enjoy bonfire area in lower campground, or Pavilion
• Pets; must be on leash at all times, and guests with pets may reserve space in Pet Haven campground
• Resort Accommodations; Check-in 4:00 pm and check-out is 10:00 am or before rafting
• LondonHouse Inn guests; Check-in 4:00 pm and check-out is 11:00 am or before rafting
• LondonHouse Spa; we encourage our guests to book in advance
• Please note: There is a security deposit required by credit card upon registration for all accommodations
